Oscar Oballe-Peinado received the BEng and MEng degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Málaga (UMA) in 1993 and 1999 respectively. In 1999 he worked as predoctoral researcher at the same university. Since October 2000 he is an associate professor in Digital Logic Design at the UMA. In 2003 he received the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Electronics from the UMA for the research project entitled "Signal Processing in Cochlear Implants Using Neural Networks". His research interests include ASIC and FPGA design, advanced tactile sensors, and tactile signal processing and applications. He is currently working toward a PhD in advanced tactile sensors.
