Graduated in physics from the university of Seville, Spain, in 1987. After that, he was working as programmer in several IT and agrofood companies and as responsible of the electronic department, designing controls systems for industrial machinery. He joined the electronic department of the University of Málaga, Spain, in 1990, and received his ph.D degree in 1995. Since then, his areas of interest ara digital signal procesing applied to the improvement of the inteligibility in patients with hearing impairment, as well as wireless patient monitoring and wireless sensors networks.
